January 2005: my dad is diagnosed with cancer. I guess it’s a family institution; I've lost several other family members to cancer. It was my dad's turn I suppose. I was never one to keep a written journal or diary, and so music has always been that to me. One night in the midst of it all and right after my dad's surgery, I decided to put my feelings to music and created this project in one sitting to document my experience. I didn’t spend too much time on writing and recording of the songs: I basically sat down, plugged in, hit record, and commenced to record whatever came out. I wanted everything, emotion wise, to be as genuine as possible. The recording is divided into five parts and each one chronologically conveys a particular emotion I myself had been enduring during this tribulation. Thank you for listening. Peace be with you. (J.
